Message from the President, R. Van Aelst

Dear ETHICS members,

First, I want to wish for each and every one of you that 2025 will be better than 2024 ! May it be the year where you feel healthier and happier, where the dream you missed last year finally comes true, and where you have the best time ever with friends and family.

In broader perspective, may the world re-discover the importance of peace, integrity, and common sense.

At ETHICS we are committed to do our outmost best to exceed our members’ expectations and make 2025 a year to remember.

It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Diva Duong as our new treasurer. Diva has been a long standing and active member of ETHICS, is a member of the Strategic Committee and brings a lot of experience as finance professional to this task.

Once more I would like to thank Thomas Hauser for his outstanding tenure as our treasurer over the past years, while at the same time we welcome Thomas in the ETHICS Operations role, where he will continue to contribute to our association passionately.

Furthermore, we have been working on the association’s governance structure, to provide more clarity and work more efficiently. We will communicate about this shortly.

As we have done in the past years, we have lined up a whole list of activities where our members can participate, either virtual or in person.

Most important may be the fact that besides the breakfast meetings and webinars we will set up as in the previous years, we will re-introduce the Annual Summit in Paris early April this year.

Please also note that like in 2023 and 2024, we will collaborate with EFPIA and MedTech Europe to organize the HETHICO congress in the fall.

As you know our association is born by the efforts of our members, so the more active support we get, the more we can offer. Therefore, if you are interested to join one of the workstreams, or support one of the local chapters, don’t hesitate to get in touch and let us know.

Finally, you have received last week an invitation to pay your 2025 membership. Please respond swiftly to this invitation, so we have the necessary resources in time to serve you well.
